I would suspect that the 3 years could really be extended dramatically if the vaccine is cryogenically frozen. Another possibility I wonder about would be what they're doing with the reproduction of biologics which could result in a practically unlimited supply of the unique vaccine.



It would be great if cryogenic freezing and/or reproduction of biologics were to be made available one of these days (hopefully soon). We may actually get some information from this trial concerning how the numbers of doses administered affect the time to progression and survival time. I am guessing that increasing the number of doses will increase the remission time. It is even possible that fewer than 10 vaccine doses will often lead to permanent remission (cure) since the the immune system does not only rely on the periodic booster shots but also on the immunological memory elicited by those shots.

I am hopeful that better treatments will soon be found for leukemia and other cancers. It seems that with each passing decade the pace of introduction of new and better treatments is accelerated. I am hopeful that within a few decades science and medicine will be successful in diminishing the impact of these horrific diseases.
