Evidently Dr. Kane made a breakthrough in the formulation of genetic insertions. This has allowed KBLB to create long strand insertions and implant them successfully in silkworms. The recent PR about KBLB's new patent applications strongly suggests the techniques that Dr. Kane developed are general-purpose and may be used in other organisms to produce other complex proteins.

First off, there is plenty of times positive news doesn't affect a stock till later in the day/ next day, not all the time but still.

To say it hasn't moved up much today.. should wait till the end of the day before making that comment.

I had to do a little background and due diligence before I bought my shares, and hey look, already made some positive growth!

Some people aren't going to just risk it all as soon as they hear about it, at least not the smarts ones... So give everyone a chance to catch up.

This is a huge field, and it also can lead into new scientific break throughs, think about how many different animals, and insects have different mechanisms in their body for self protection. Cockaroaches are immune to radiation for example...so what would happen if we we're able to learn how to sequence into their genes? And revense engineer the process to give it to humans!

However currently it's illegal to do this to humans, think about the chineese doctor who manipulated the genes of those two twins last year...

It's similar to playing god in a sense, but sometimes god wants our growth and protection over extinction... Unless we keep becoming more and more like parasites to the earth... then we should be destroyed..

I believe why the share price hasn't moved much today is most shareholders
like me want to see results with what they already have. Maybe they
should make silk and sell it for what it is and worry about additional
strains later as of yet we haven't seen anything made from ds or ds2 or whatever they call it.
