Max noheadroom Why do you suppose we no longer manufacture much of anything in this country? It's called corporate greed they have left these shores for countries like China, India, Vietnam other third world countries because of unlimited cheap labor and tax breaks they were given in those countries! I have a friend who has a high tech business in California he does assembly in China 3 years ago he was paying $.31 an hour, how do you compete with that?
Max, I agree the China tariffs are causing pain, especially to soybean farmers because the Chinese target specific groups of Trump supporters. That was the reason past administrations from Nixon onward looked the other way as China bulldozed its way into world markets. We hope that this trade war will have a different result. The only way that will happen is if we can ignore the next election cycle and do what is right.
