Proto, you need to see the reliability testing as part of the customer engagement process. In other words confidence between parties may increase ( or decrease) depending on the results during testing. So it may well be that at 500 hours, 1000 hours, 1500 hours confidence increases all the time. In other words there will be enough evidence developing to predict the required outcome.. I do not think customers have to wait for another 3000 hours to understand the likely reliability outcome. As I said, tests may well have to continue to 5000 hours. Commercial decisions may develop earlier and in paralel during this process.
