50 Gbps RWG Modulator (Packages for R&QA and customer evaluation): The company has initiated R&QA (reliability and quality assurance) on the modulator and is engaging with customers as part of the evaluation phase of product development. We expect that the on-going package and R&QA activities will continue as an integral part of engagement with customers.

So yes, what you said earlier is easily confirmed, this RQ&A has been ongoing many months with Gen 1 material systems

As for Gen 2/2* material systems RQ&A being performed currently, doubtful investors get a news release as there was never one issued with Gen 1 results, however, it the results are a condition of a contract agreement it is possible a news release of some sort of deal could occur, but more likely it would be withheld until 5000 hours, around the ECOC conference time frame, and perhaps even later than that if additional RQ&A requirements of the ensuing device structures and devices are not fully completed by then as well
