I don’t know let’s Occular the picture.... let’s buy a once thriving distributor, call it NSI, where the owner and principle walked away from the business to only focus on a dire family issue. Do you think the book keeping was the focus? AND then let’s buy a bankrupt, talented, company in FRance -Morning - and look at their books. Well there is the French language thing, and oh the dollar to Frank currency thing, , the completely new software needed to standardize bookkeeping and oh yea, they are in France.
Do you think building and documenting up the data is a breeze? Ya probably so easy....
Hey, let’s focus- without RBSM and additional AMFE internal accounting, WHO KNOWS what the time frame would be. Also, current locations are thriving, and let’s keep inputting that sales data from Canada and the Tempe location.

Is it not reasonable to suspect there are legal issues that are holding up the audit that we do not even know about?

Yes, it is not reasonable.

It is a completely separate minor issue, and not within the scope of the audit.

It is a basic legal matter that hits businesses on a regular basis. Its not the first and it won't be the last as AMFE continues to do more and more business. This is simply how businesses communicate for contracts management when one party feels they need to have a resolution accomplished and want it to be do in the correct manner. This is not bearing on the audit in any way shape for form.

Every single company with any level of business has this happen now and then. Unless there is a material event associated with it for a public company, it is just background operations stuff that simply happen. For these minor contractural legal disputes, they simply get handled as part of on going business.
