If Arris buys out Chanbond/uoip we get paid, and the patents are Arris's. We could continue to share in any future royalties only if we also get shares of the company(Arris) in the agreement.
If we are bought out we have no further revenue to acquire from any past infringers - we have relinquished our ability to pursue past infringement. However if Arris bought us out and part of the deal was shares of Arris then we could potentially have a share in future infringement cases if Arris takes that route - which I doubt they would because most of those infringing are their customers who they indemnified. Plus all of us would probably sell our shares in Arris as soon as possible due to the terrible direction their company has been in for awhile.
