@ cardiologymd..Question on prescribing?

Hi Cardio,

You've answered a bit of what I have been wondering on prescribing Vascepa as you are currently doing with regards to patients with cardiac issues only, and now those with combined cardiac AND diabetes issues (per today's ADA release).

Since I have neither cardio or diabetes issues, how would a patient with both of those issues be prescribed?

I guess I am asking....Does the cardiologist or does the endocrinologist take the lead in prescribing the medication? (your answer will be leading me back to the drug rep topic that has been batted about on the message board this week...I would assume AMRN reps will now be knocking on the doors of endocrinology practices)

thanks in advance.

Doc, I wish there were more progressive free thinking leaders like you in your field. But as somebody posted, it’s the leaders like you, and many others, that will create the changes in SOC before the everyone else catches on. Thank you. This ADA SOC change seems like a much bigger deal than Wall Street gives it. Can any of you estimate a market value for that population or the direct impact it will have on market cap? I don’t have the tools to estimate but it seems like one of our biggest populations to treat. If not the biggest.
