Actually wrote a term paper
that spring on air traffic
control and their inter-reaction
during airline disasters...
737 software failure leading to
auto pilot malfunction...
May not be as easy of a problem
to pinpoint as a faulty lock
washer causing a wing to fall
off or other mechanical problem...
Software has independent components
that could be cheap and defective
and trigger system problem...
Also there could be a possible
electrical feed to the software
that over loads or drops amperes
improperly to trigger problem...
And software depends on critical
temp operating range maintained
by cooling system that could be
faulty and trigger software problem...
Many good, educated engineers behind
all phases of the 737...
My bet is on cheap, shoddy, internal
software part or parts from an
external supplier causing the
737 software fiasco...
Big B till has to answer for
all no matter what is revealed...
Bad that it takes tragedy to
bring problems into light...LJ
