It was almost certainly proneural upon mutation to GBM. 13% of GBM is proneural. Proneural non-gcimp (more rare still) is the least likely to respond to current therapies, and even Dr. Liau and Dr. Prins agree with this regarding DC therapy thus far. Strangely enough, proneural non-gcimp is typically slower growing and thus gives patients more time. Ironic because it’s therefore harder to study because it takes longer, and thus the comment about desperately needing surrogates to PFS comes more into focus, particularly because proneural is much more common in youth. All that said, Senti is probably correct that the tumor was not properly preserved. They likely used paraffin. Regarding her tenure at NWBO, Ms. Bayh and Cofer were hired before we knew the citrus president and his minions would win all three houses for his first two years. Her political connections were not likely needed during the last two years, and thereafter she was diagnosed with GBM.
