It doesn’t matter if the report is accurate or not. It is a very damning report from a credible witness. Unless Kim is content with 5 cents, he needs to immediately address the shareholders.

"The previously reported authorizations, from key Vietnamese central government ministries, established guidelines for the importation of the Company’s transgenic silkworms. In addition to leveraging the expertise and capacities of IoB-VAST and VSRC, this agreement provides the structure and regulatory compliance to address those regulatory requirements."

aint kim the crafty one...the unnamed "key" central ministries gave "authorization" and established "guidelines"...

funny how he doesn't name the "key" central ministries...he talks about regulatory compliance and requirements in regards to Iobvast and vsrc which as far as I know are not ministries..

in my experience authorizations and guidelines are used when there are no real regulations or you are acting against or outside of them.....and they can be issued and revoked on a whim...and guidelines?...they can change with the wind..

sounds to me like kim is proceeding on the kindness of strangers who may or may not be there next week...and as far as I can tell, there are NO written regulations and kim has never said there were and the USDA are flat out telling you there are definitely NONE..

"I do not believe the government is up to date."

I believe the USDA IS up to date...there are no rules laws or regulations governing gm animals...I don't believe they are addressing any "authorizations or "guidelines" because they are not regulations..they are simply agreements between parties that can cease to exist tomorrow..

hopefully, its all good and Vietnam will not screw with kblb...at least until I get my dime...they can do whatever they want after that..

<< The previously reported authorizations, from key Vietnamese central government ministries, established guidelines for the importation of the Company’s transgenic silkworms. >>

Vietnam allowed KBLB to import their GMO silkworm eggs for RESEARCH purposes and it is why the eggs will be brought directly to a Vietnamese location and NOT KBLB's location. Vietnam did this as an EXCEPTION to their current law.

IF all things go well during the research phase, THEN they will consider changing the law to allow KBLB (but that will take quite a bit of time).

But if things do go well, then it is game over...

yet the report says there aren't any.

Actually it doesnt Ray.

We can assume there are zero regulations or thousands. The report says they "do not plan to develop any regulations about GE animals or products".

They are not going to make any regulations.

That means there will be no mard regulations that do not already exist concerning GE animals and their products.

MARD has regulations for GE animals I believe. And if I remember the last time this subject was brought up to try to scare people we were inundated with mard regulations. We had the conversation that MARD rules kept mentioning food and the scary reason was people eat silkworms etc...

Fact is we have everything we need to import which means MARD is ok with us.
Since they wont be developing new regulations that could restrict out company we have no worries.

The other thing is a regulation is like a law. If they do not exist you are allowd.
There are no walking regulations on a sidewalk. Until there are you can walk anywhere.
Regulations are restrictions and not permissions
