"We can assume there are zero regulations or thousands."

the USDA in Vietnam just told you there were NO regulations regarding animal gm...but you want to assume there could be thousands?...

"The report says they "do not plan to develop any regulations about GE animals or products".

you are putting that in quotes as if it is in fact a direct quote...it is not..and that is disingenuous...the ACTUAL quote is "the GVN and MARD do not have any plans to develop regulations for the management of research or approval of animal biotechnology applications."

having no plans to do something isn't the same as saying you will not do something..

and yes, there IS in fact a difference..

"They are not going to make any regulations."

and based on your fictitious quote, you draw this erroneous conclusion hoping everyone believes that nonsense..

"That means there will be no mard regulations that do not already exist concerning GE animals and their products."

and then you double down on the erroneous conclusions....no, it does NOT mean there will be no mard regulations and once again the USDA has already told you that NO regulations exist governing ge animals.. so why would you insinuate that there are?..

"MARD has regulations for GE animals I believe."

based on the fact that USDA told you there weren't any?..is that what leads you to believe there are?..

"Fact is we have everything we need to import"

remind me...is this the third or fourth time now that we have had "everything we need" to import?...

"which means MARD is ok with us."

no, it does not mean mard is ok with us...I suspect that if things move forward, it is in spite of the objections by mard..

"Since they wont be developing new regulations that could restrict out company we have no worries."

still drawing conclusions from a faulty quote...there is no reason to believe that they wont or cant develop new regulations..all we know is that as of oct, there were no plans to do so...

who knows about November?...

"There are no walking regulations on a sidewalk. Until there are you can walk anywhere."

then why did it taking kim over 5 yrs to get permission to produce in Vietnam?..if it is as you say, he should have just waltzed into Vietnam and got busy...but no, he is only now receiving "authorization" to import worms...

stop making all those "its just like this or that"...because it never is..
