#5308 RE: cintrix #5307

In CT and NY, certain parkways (at certain times) do become parking lots. (Let's hear it for Waze!)

Buying from market maker inventory is a valid reason to be skeptical of so-called "buys," but how does one know one's stock comes from there?

Market maker involvement leads to other questions, like, how often do market makers hold dying or dead stocks in their inventory? Don't they buy only what they think they can sell, expecting a stock to take off (enough to make a profit)?

Anywho … thanks for the replies.

Re my other question on "cash" type transactions, some targeted googling took me to 'investopedia' and other sources that said it simply meant the stocks were paid for from a cash account, not a margin or otherwise leveraged account (there's another term for the latter I have already forgotten). That info included an interesting, albeit brief discussion of the pros and cons of either type of trade.
