yeah..it's one of the reasons we stay here and don't get another place. We really couldn't afford to even make a lateral move to a similar size house. We're in a decent part of town (tho..my 22 mile commute to work usually takes 90 minutes these days).
I think we'll hang for a few more years, then just get out and head to a different part of the country...It'd actually be nice to get that property NOW tho..
I'm extremely happy with my equity gains last 5 years. You must be in a good market because everything I see in CA is falling. People are making the mistake of thinking they can sale their home for what it may have been worth last year and now you have an over abundance of over priced homes in a declining market. I think next summer/fall will be the time I will buying more.
A lot of my accounts are real estate people and they are all feeling the slow down. Prices are definitely starting to drop in certain cities. I hope I'm wrong guy , but I think we are in for a major drop in home prices.
