From an optimistic view, we are bringing some products to market. And it seems we will have competive advantage?

Gates, I agree, but the fact remains that Dr Lebby has said multiple times that we are "on track" to meet 12 month 2018 ASM goals which can be seen on ASM #2 video at 18:00 mark, and getting 50Gbs protos out to customers/partners is the 2nd of 7 goals listed, and as of EOY 2018 we will be 8 of 12 months into meeting these goals, so I would say EOY 2018 should be a reasonable target, so was this omission purposeful, I don't know, but based on there now being multiple packages under development, and that the initial product Target Market shifted to over 10Km, I have to believe that we have a few giant companies working closely with our team to meet their specific needs which presumably has to be impacting the timeline to some extent

Ok, here is the timline from the 2018 ASM >>

1) 50Gbs RWM - Optimize parameters in Packaged Prototype
2) 50Gbs RWM - Packaged 50Gbs Proto for RQ&A and Customer Evaluations
3) Design 50Gbs RWM on PIC Platform - Complete Modeling Simulation Architecture
4) Drive 50Gbs RWM with PAM4 - Packaged Demonstration of 400Gbs
5) 400Gbs RWM P2IC Platform - Demonstrate 400Gbs using 4 lanes 50Gbs modulators on a Semiconductor Platform
6) Design 100Gbs RWM - Demonstrate 100Gbs device
7) 800Gbs RWM - 4 lanes 100Gbs array modulators using P2IC (Polymer PIC) Platform - Demonstrate 800Gbs using RWM with PAM4 on a Semiconductor Platform

Ok, so we know that LWLG is "on track" to meet all of these stated goals by 2019 ASM so draw your own conclusions. We know that LWLG has advanced the speeds capabilities to 150Gbs well in excess of the 12 month goal, and we know there are now "multiple" packages being worked on, the word "standard" has been removed, so at a minimum I think they are working on the packaged version proto and the PIC version proto simultaneously, I also believe that one or more giant companies are working closely with the developments currently to meet their specific needs

Lastly, I don't think Dr Lebby would have issued a White Paper were he not 99.9% sure of the LWLG technology being virtually commercial ready

Well said

worth another read:

From August 30 PR:

Quote:
Lightwave Logic CEO Dr. Michael Lebby noted, “The team exceeded its development milestones for the past two years. We are on track to supply customer prototypes.

From October 23 Shareholder Update:

Quote:
We are happy to report that we are making excellent progress and are on track to achieve the goals we set out at our ASM in May 2018.

From last quarter's 10-Q:

Quote:
These ridge waveguide modulators are currently being packaged with our partner and will be available for evaluation by potential customers in 2018

If they are not on track to supply potential customers with devices in 2018 they should make that very clear. We should not have to read between the lines. It appears that now there is a question as to if LWLG will deliver prototypes in 2018.

GATES.
