From October 23 Shareholder Update:

We are happy to report that we are making excellent progress and are on track to achieve the goals we set out at our ASM in May 2018.

From last quarter's 10-Q:

These ridge waveguide modulators are currently being packaged with our partner and will be available for evaluation by potential customers in 2018

If they are not on track to supply potential customers with devices in 2018 they should make that very clear. We should not have to read between the lines. It appears that now there is a question as to if LWLG will deliver prototypes in 2018.
