IT's so ridiculously low risk right now. I have $5 January Calls and $7.50 March calls. The leverage of trading 100 shares for 50 bucks? Easy money on this. I've mixed my calls and share purchases here, mostly I just buy calls on the big boards because of the price of shares. I can't afford to buy 100 shares of Apple for 20K, but I can sure make $500 buy buying a single call for $900 and wait for it to jump.
Same here, the risk is losing $50 on a call option even if it went all the way to $0 is so much better than holding 10 shares for the same amount. However, I've decided in this case because the Options on this are still so small-scale, it might be good to have both.
