Sorry, I was wrong. Its not the September 2015 Webinar I wanted you watch. Its the March 2017 issue. The entire 1.5 hour webinar is very informative, explains the algorithm, the how and why it works (I thinks its genius), but pay particular attention to the section beginning at 59:50 and continue to the end of the webinar.

The section is titled; 'What does it mean for securities to play well together in a strategy'.

I'm not advocating or planning on day trading. What I would/will do with a leveraged ETF is look for signals on different time frames - primarily Daily, 60 min and 15 min.

In my view, if you start with a universe f ETF's (or mutual funds or stocks) that are in strong trending sectors any drop could be a pullback in an uptrend and have a limited downside. I might have better success finding it intraday instead of on a daily.

I'm still thinking in terms of a multi-day hold and fnot really a day trade, but with a leveraged ETF the intraday impulses could also be profitable...but would not be my target.

One example is BOIL, a 2X Long Natural Gas ETF. I see a very tradable set up on the 15 min that never really shows on the daily.

Tha late December daily set up looks very tradeable, but I might have missed the late July set up unless I was watching the 15 min. About a 20% gain in three weeks.
