I'm sorry if I somehow mislead you, but, I'm not a doc. I've a dozen letters after my name that only means that I've done a lot of medical stuff (over 40 years), took a lot of call, worked a lot of holidays/weekends and it's kept me clothed and fatted up. ;-) I'm strictly cardiac oriented now doing echocardiography and stress imaging.

As far as the question goes, I'd never thought about it til you brought it up. I just assumed it was a bachelor of science degree of some sort. Now you gots me curious- I'm going to ask around lol!
