I'm sorry if I somehow mislead you, but, I'm not a doc. I've a dozen letters after my name that only means that I've done a lot of medical stuff (over 40 years), took a lot of call, worked a lot of holidays/weekends and it's kept me clothed and fatted up. 
I'm strictly cardiac oriented now doing echocardiography and stress imaging.
As far as the question goes, I'd never thought about it til you brought it up. I just assumed it was a bachelor of science degree of some sort. Now you gots me curious- I'm going to ask around lol!
