The patent would have been filed some 18 months ago. Now let’s imagine from the PK/PD analysis etc. something was found hinting at why some patients respond very well to A2-73 while others not so much.
It was immediately clear that this something is novel and has a direct influence on how to design the next trials. Would Anavex not want to slam on the breaks on further trials, work on this patent, check and double check all facts in the lab and available research, pull the 15 months data from being presented and wait until AAIC about 18 months later when the patent will be published and then press on full steam...
