For the money they spent over the winter they could have done better. The players they traded at the deadline last year haven't resulted in anything but salary dumping. And even after spending all that money this winter they've filled holes with castoffs from other teams, hoping for the best. They have very little ready in the minors. Our best hope at the moment is a whole lot of solo home runs since they have about zero ability to play small ball. Or defend against it either, from the looks of it. Sad

The mets could be alot better I would say there are at least 4-5 games on this manager. and based on some his absurd comment lately, the way the team has come out I wonder if they just outright quit on him. Because the lack of effort lately has been very troubiling, and this all goes back to the manager. I don't remember this happening during the TC era, and trust me the TC era had a lot of bad teams, but I don't remember them with lack of effort, and by no means was TC a great manager, but compared to this guy. So It might even be more than 4-5 games if this team has quit over the last week, there really is no way to know that.

The mets should go with a semi rebuild. Here is how they should do it. Try to get ces back, and offer money just to dump ces over the next two years. if we can save 15 million a year. Great.

If there are any takers for Bruce (Can't see why), Cabrera there should be. flores when he gets back. A-gon. Even todd frazier. Plus familia you do it, and they should get something real nice back for familia.

You do not trade syndergaard, he is only like 25 if you doing a quick rebuild. you trade degromm, he is 30, you than get lugo back in the rotation, because I think he could be a quality starter.

Degromm and Familia for Frazier, Andujar, and Sheffield. if they don't want to give up andujar because he is on the ml team, I will replace with drury, carroll and acevado. and we have a deal.

Now under this scenario, I hopefully have my allready made OF in clint frazier, Nimmo and Conforto. I have rosario at SS, drury can play 2b, and They spend the money to bring in machado who is a super star. assuming they can't get rid of bruce he is there. resign mesoraco shouldn't cost much. Revamp the bullpen. Anget a quality starter, and if the young kid play up they should be competitive next year in my opinion. and of course they should fire this terrible manager. Shaking my head.
