Apple Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri said the company has a net cash balance of $145 billion. Maestri previously said the company would seek to reduce the balance to "approximately zero" over time through potential mergers and acquisitions, buybacks and dividends.

Loop, I'm sure you were around when it looked like we were about to get a signed license with Nokia. I recall there was some mountain top Tarzan shouting about that in a press release. You remember how that worked out? Not good at all. I've been patient this long. A while more won't be a problem.
