If the Technicolor transaction becomes a reality, suddenly IDCC has an arsenal of patents covering connectivity, convergence, video, sensors and "stuff" us oldsters may never see. My frustration is the vibes I get duration discussions by management. They remind me of a girl in my neighborhood that would wash her car in cutoff jeans and a top that we could see through on a sunny day. The first guy to see her pull her car out on the driveway set out running through the streets and ball fields like Paul Revere. We would drop everything and make our way down behind a wood fence to view the wash and dream that we were her car for a half hour. It was the only time that we assembled together in silence. She would finally pull the car into her garage and we would return to what we were doing in total silence without any blood in our ears. She moved away, gone, but certainly not forgotten by our group. IDCC has teased us in a similar fashion through tea leaves that indicate huge success only to shut down our visions with phrases like "it will not be significant for a period of time". Just once I would love to hear and see a cockiness by management. Just once I would like to witness a fighting side when called a troll rather than obvious hurt feelings. If IDCC is a troll in wireless data communications, then every company in the sector is a troll. I tell you as one viewing behind a wood fence, this company should be very valuable to a computer bully that would make the great Muhammad Ali look shy in singing it's praises.
