I always did get it.

In order to produce extract you need trim, trim from 160 pounds of sellable flower. That sellable flower comes at a growers cost of $120 a pound.

The revenue from the extract generated from the plants that produced the flower does not even cover the fees paid to the grower.

People made it sound like the extract revenue was going to be so huge when in reality it isn't much at all.

All of the flower went to extract according to their Instagram. Beers numbers look correct based on the available info. He even used the upper limits of the numbers. That may change if more trim is used for extract, and less of the buds. What his numbers also point out is that it’s more economical to sell the buds for $1,000+ per pound than it is to turn it all into extract.

Also, at full capacity this master grower will be making insane money. A good grower can make $10-12,000 per month in Socal, and all the weed he can smoke, this guy will make double that.

Surf mentioned the taxes, but there’s also these taxes;

Monterey County charges $15 per sq foot.

Here’s the state taxes for cultivators:

$9.25 per dry-weight ounce of cannabis flowers that enter the commercial market,
$2.75 per dry-weight ounce of cannabis leaves that enter the commercial market, and
$1.29 per ounce of fresh cannabis plant*.

Do you get that? lol
