No blood just a much larger market than in the past....Meggitt investing dollars is a good thing. It wouldn't surprise me to see training programs on the federal level rather than local .....waiting to see more detail on the 18/19 budget.

I believe Meggitt has had a lot of success installing their single screen systems to police departments for years. While there are still a lot of PDs without any simulator, I imagine virtra has encountered many cities with these already installed and their sell is to try to get them to upgrade to a 300* version and they are hesitant to do so. But, perhaps Meggitt's development of the 300* system shows more municipalities are looking at doing the upgrade. Problem is Meggitt has the inside track on all those cities that already have their system since they've already worked with Meggitt.

Other problem is now Virtra has two competitors. Meggitt's FATS and FAAC's MILO system. The MILO system can be used with the Oculus Rift. My hometown installed one two years ago. https://www.hayspost.com/2016/08/06/virtual-tactical-simulation-center-opens-in-hays/

What if Meggett entered the space because they smell blood in the water?
If they can turn out a decent product with more aggressive and successful sales tactics..who knows what will happen to us

Could be Rubes. Meggett and companies that have a long standing w/ Feds are on the short list for purchases. May even buy bulk. When I was selling to the Army/Air Force, I only had to do one successful security job protecting a couple of buildings that looked like a storage rental building but w/ some hush hush equipment stored for all the various depts on the base. I was very particular w/ my submittals and progress reports which I usually understated so there would be no conflict. After the initial install was complete they put our company on the short list and we were given jobs that weren't even put out for bid-- they just wrote up an outline of what they wanted and we designed, submitted our bid and received an award.
But I wouldn't doubt an offer from Meggett as they may find the installed base a plus along w/ goodwill from existing customer base that can be added to for both new installs, upgrades and service revenue.
btw--what patents does vtsi hold, if any?
