I believe Meggitt has had a lot of success installing their single screen systems to police departments for years. While there are still a lot of PDs without any simulator, I imagine virtra has encountered many cities with these already installed and their sell is to try to get them to upgrade to a 300* version and they are hesitant to do so. But, perhaps Meggitt's development of the 300* system shows more municipalities are looking at doing the upgrade. Problem is Meggitt has the inside track on all those cities that already have their system since they've already worked with Meggitt.

Other problem is now Virtra has two competitors. Meggitt's FATS and FAAC's MILO system. The MILO system can be used with the Oculus Rift. My hometown installed one two years ago. https://www.hayspost.com/2016/08/06/virtual-tactical-simulation-center-opens-in-hays/
