I understand completely. I told my boss Friday, a little time on the seat and less on the floor would be appreciated. I'm not getting any younger.

I bought some 4 ft chicken fence last year, and made a tunnel run. I cut a hole in the chicken pen and hooked the run to it at the edge of my garden. The chickens used the tunnel well.

I'd really like to put the chicken runs between the rows, after I get them planted. My main hang up, is the wire to hold the chicken fencing up in the tunnel. I've done a little research, from what I see? It would be quite costly to construct a very long tunnel.

I'm a machinist by trade. I've considered buying 1/2 or 3/4 plywood, and machining a 2ft radius support bar about 1/2" wide. Getting as many as I can out of a sheet of plywood, or two?

A homer bucket(5 gallon plastic bucket) and an ice pick works well. Oddly, I found that an ice pick hole placed from the outside to the inside doesn't drain as well as one placed from the inside toward the outside on the bottom. Water is particular what it has to do to follow gravity I suppose.
