In this context AVXL is a new Apple, IMO.

To continue your analogy perhaps: we can hope AVXL is like MSFT amidst the old way of IBM and AAPL the aspiring competitor with potential.

IF AVXL is like MSFT we can look forward to surprising and rapid growth, if like AAPL good too, but not the first to make it big in a new field.

Key difference between MSFT and both Apple and IBM is that they (Bill Gates) soon realised that the future was in software rather than hardware.
