I could care less about rutherford. I just think ranking of prospects system in a farm is extremely flawed I know originally where he is picked matter, but at the end of the day it is about performance. Sometimes I think the system highly regards some players but other players can keep producing level after level, but never jump up the rankings is so flawed. I get their prospects so you rate the guys higher with the higher ceiling, but to me the factor that doesn't get weighed in nearly enough is how likely they get to that ceiling.And in my opinion rutherford likelihood of getting to his ceiling is dwindiling by the end of the day, people sometimes get waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too excited about tools, and not about performance. I mean what is the worst in the nfl draft, you get them raving about workout warriors, but if you watch this guys on game film in college you hardly notice them, but scouts are giddy about the potential, sometimes it is not about the ceiling, it is about the likelihood of that ceiling. this is not and anti blake rutherford comment, as much as I think in all sports the way prospects get analyzed is very flawed in my opinion.

I mean I could of told you when rutherford was ranked like 3rd in the yankees farm system last year at one point that I think I would of taken 15 guys before him. I mean Florial who was ranked 15th last year and one point is younger and producing way better and moved up to the next level yet he was ranked waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay lower than rutherford. The system is very very very flawed.
