Last night on two Public TV shows, segments aired on the NJ/NY issue of
allowing sports betting at in-state (NJ) horse racing tracks and Atlanta
Casinos. You can believe NY is also watching this: it seems estimates of private sports/gaming including dawning VG outcome bets = well over
$100 Billion USA alone.

NFL and other Sports Leagues are fighting against the NJ potential to open-up Sports Betting, however their legal argument is weakened by the fact that present massive private betting has not apparently been found to have caused 'irrational outcomes' to history of sports games.

This is going to be big EAST-WEST states rights fight and to date,
Western States look like they 'got-the-magic' going via Calif. and NV and Oregon. Washington State is currently preoccupied with Goggle and BA 'moves' looming. Don't know why passengers can't gamble online once their jets leave USA territorial waters (they probably do . . . on their cells and tablets)? USA losing $$ Billions of possible tax revenues
to overseas legal lottery processing sites . . . guess you cannot fix dumb. We could easily 'push' these monies into our health care provision needs, including in-school care.
Worse possible idea is to just to push a lot any such new lottery/gambling funds sources into the general fund . . . wherein it gets 'directed' to rich special interests 'needs' like Real Estate profit games.

This kind of national media attention should work in LTTGF favor.
One would think we can 'ride' on that wave?

States will be doing the Tax potential Math on any form of possible in-state mobile/online lottery ticket sales potential.

Maybe our new lady Legal Counsel best offer testimony in the NJ case and mention other potential State Tax sourcing like LTTGF are possible also?

Lets watch and see how fast LTTGF can build out Legal Calif. user Data Base.
