#147086 RE: Lykiri #147063

Thanks to you and wavelengthy for posting these links and bringing this to the board’s attention.

It’s unfortunate that DCVax-L didn’t cure Julian; hopefully, it gave him a better quality of life.

The timeline for Julian is also a bit confusing. The speech was given in April 2017. He says Julian was diagnosed about a year and a half earlier. From April l 2017, that would have been around November 2015. By then the halt was in effect, which explains why he could only receive injections in London. And I think the ludicrousness of that being the reality struck this doctor. How bizarre is that? The vaccine is made a few minutes away from them but the only place Julian can receive the injection is in London?

It sounds like there were was some very political shenanigans behind making it practically impossible to receive injections of DCVax (which has been shown to be safe causing the most minimal of side effects) in the U.S. why make that so difficult?

This halt, IMO, has done GBM patients no favors.

Anyhow, Dr. Boop said that Julian survived 16 months, and died two months before his speech in April. But than that would mean Julian only lived 14 months. So for me, the timeline is unclear.

My biggest takeaway:

A neurosurgeon
with GBM
travels to London for injections of a treatment
that has an enrollment halt on a P3 trial it’s being tested in
because he believes:

DCVax = the potential for a cure
