DCVax L could consistently cure people if follow-up resections and the production of a follow-Up vaccine were part of the protocol.

DCVax L is like a great antivirus program where you don’t update the definitions and so you are increasingly at risk.

DCVax Direct solves the problem in a less expensive way. It would be like an anti-virus program smart enough to build its own definitions list.

That is why I think Direct is already making L obsolete, at least for tumors that tend rapidly evolve or for multiple tumors that are each expressing different antigens from the get-go and evolving.

Multiple rescetions for L are probably too expensive because it negates the financial benefits of rendering years of vaccine out of one sample.

However the “classic” L is perfect for less ‘creative tumors’ where the vaccine does not get outmoded too quickly.

Anyhow, Dr. Boop said that Julian survived 16 months, and died two months before his speech in April. But than that would mean Julian only lived 14 months. So for me, the timeline is unclear.

His marriage to Jody was recorded on Sept 2 2015. Looks like that was the date of his surgery. He passed in Feb 2017. So that's 17 months (yes, 14 months post vaccine).

I wonder if he was in the trial or was treated compassionately in the UK. If in the trial this is the latest reported initiation of treatment for a patient.

DCVax = the potential for a cure

Or maybe not a cure but maybe the best chance for extended survival. Do you understand the difference? I know you love to throw the c word around. There is no evidence that by itself it is a cure for any except a very small number who may have instead been cured by something like prayer.

Why do you think they are moving toward combo trials? Do you understand that we are hoping for extended survival? Do you understand Liau has said there has been very little progress in treating GBM? Do you think she would be saying that if she were see people consistently cured? Your hyping would likely be disgusting and infuriating to people who have lost loved ones that received treatment and were not cured.
