What about preventing myelin from breaking down in the first place?

Also, in MS, what is the status of the "wire"?


Remyelination is equivalent to wrapping some electrical tape around a bare spot on an electrical cord. That keeps the cord from arcing out. But the electrical tape does not replace (regenerate) the cord.

seems like its more like replacing a damaged female or male end of an electrical cord, to allow electrical current to run through the cord (again).
