One thing I know would be better would be the weight. Everybody I've read that bought them says the the bike gets so much lighter, it almost feels off balance. So, that certainly has to help the gas milege.

That pipe on my bike is HUGE.

Chris/Matt,

Putting the V&H Bigshots on, should be accompanied with rejetting the carb, if carburated, but if the bike is EFI, then take a look at adding a Power Commander and having it reset the fuel curve of the stock unit.

I have a 00 Ultra Classic with stage 2 kit, scream'n eagle exhaust, and a remapped fuel management, but added a Power Commander for the final tuning. I'm getting 90 hp and 93 ft/lbs of torque at the rear wheel, which it great for fully loaded touring....

P.S. My SO has a 98 Kawasaki Vulcan 800, with V&H Straightshots, and we rejetted the carb with their kit.... Gas mileage is a little better than stock, with wonderful power gains, not to mention, that without a tach, now she can tell what the engine is demanding.... LOL
