Are you aware that DongGuan, where most of Lugee's mfg operations are located is less than two hours from HK?
Hong Kong is a loose term and has several ports for shipping.
The purpose of a US location, I have already discussed, in terms of Lugee wanting to keep profits overseas.
In terms of logistics, the real reason for US supply points is twofold:
1)redundancy of supply
2)JIT or just in time delivery for resupply
In a word, we are talking about warehousing, even more than manufacturing, as a backup to HK (DongGuan, for those who know the lay of the land).
