If true, I'd expect these cranks to be banned immediately.

You'd be overly optimistic, I'm afraid. Many mass shooters have used giant magazines of one kind or another. Efforts to ban them have been unsuccessful. I'll bet it'll be the same for the cranks.

That crank seems awkward and not intuitive to shooting a rifle. These bump fire stocks work pretty well. All one needs to do is change out the stock. Nothing to it and anybody could do it.

Fully automatic weapons are illegal and converting a semi auto to full auto is a very good way to go to prison for 10 years, yet these are OK??

Yeah... Makes no sense.

I'm a gunsmith/knifesmith and my expertise is in AK-47's and similar rifles.

I'll admit these bump stocks are a blast to shoot but, they should not be legal. And that cat has been out of the bag for a while now.

We still need to remember that it's not the rifle, a tool that a killer uses. It's the killer using that tool to kill that's the real problem. These bump stocks make it to easy for any novice to lay down a lot of fire, fast... A well trained/practiced shooter could do just as much damage with a semi auto. These guns are out there and there is likely no way of turning that back. And I know I want to be just as heavily armed as the criminals, but I don't need a bump stock. I'm a heck of a shot and a semi auto will work just fine even up against full auto.

Did anyone catch the embedded turd bug that popped up in that video?
Wonder why that was there.
