LOL, I think there was a vending machine scam fairly recently, selling pot from the machine. But that was in California. I also recall a burrito scam vending machine, but that was in California. I even recall a french fry vending machine, I cannot remember if it was in California or BC. I have been to Roppongi, except in La Jolla, California, not Japan.

I can tell ya, I have been to markets and "dined" (if one wants to call it that) in Burma and I never got sick there, nor China either. I don't think I fell ill in Lucerne, Zurich, Lugano, Wien, Prague, Bratislava, Bellagio, Milan, Venice, Dublin (although close, I stayed at a hotel in Temple Bar, and I cannot tell ya how much vomit was being cleaned up at 6 am), Taiwan, Vancouver, Toronto, Winnipeg...I can go on...but I got violently ill in Salt Lake City, UT at midnight. Never order pizza from room service in UT at midnight.

Are you telling me if I go to Roppongi I will not see those stores that are full of vending machines?

At Roppongi hotel 9 years ago I was a little bit disappointed seeing fewer machines than 10 years prior. But the absence of those machines made the area feel cleaner.
