If you say it's a lie, and misleading pretty much is accusing one of intentionally misleading.

If someone posts their opinion, and it's called a lie, how it can be spun that they are not calling the poster a liar is beyond me.

That is correct. It depends upon to what or whom it is directed. If it is about the other user or their intent, it's off-topic.
