I don't think you understand or read correctly. SMI will be handling the Chinese part of the sales/distribution (I assume). HOWEVER, SLNN or Saleen Automotive does have a license deal that goes directly to them with the Chinese company WM or whatever the heck it is. In addition, the SMI deal only covers China and select other areas (and only for a period of time), so SLNN will imo be reaping the full benefits of selling directly here in the USA and maybe even Europe!

You might have just have hit the nail on the head. I experienced a very similar situation a few years back. That company was not US based however. I would think SLNN shareholders would have some sort of protection from this type of business practices.
Where's the SEC?

It was very clear that it was paid to the company and not Steve not my opinion it's fact.

Any royalties would be issued directly to Saleen Automotive after the initial advancement of money has been used up not my opinion it's fact.
