When blacks could vote, their vote counted as only 2/3's of a white vote. That's gone.

Integration, especially schools integration took place in the 1950's. Supported by the Supreme Court and the U.S. Gov't.

The Civil Rights Act in the 60's, under LBJ.

I'm not black nor will I speak for them. But I'd not be surprised if blacks think little of "Southern" statues.
