Amazon plans to launch translation service through AWS, CNBC reports
Amazon's (AMZN) cloud computing division, Amazon Web Services, has been developing a translation service that would allow developers to offer their websites and apps in multiple languages and may announce the service before its re:Invent conference in November, CNBC reports, citing a source familiar with the matter. The expected launch comes roughly two years after Amazon acquired translation start-up Safaba and the service will compete with similar translation services from Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) and Microsoft (MSFT)
