https://searchwww.sec.gov/EDGARFSClient/jsp/EDGAR_MainAccess.jsp?search_text=%22GS%20Capital%20Partners%2C%20LLC%22&sort=Date&formType=1&isAdv=true&stemming=true&numResults=10&numResults=10

At the above link you'll find all 8 appearances of "GS Capital Partners, LLC" in the SEC's Edgar system. They report convertible notes issued by 4 different companies whose share prices start with either .00 or .000. Not exactly Goldman Sachs fodder.

The Notice section of one of those Agreements says:
"If to the Buyer:

GS CAPITAL PARTNERS, LLC

110 Wall Street 3rd Floor, Suite 5-070

New York, NY 10005

Attn: Gabe Sayegh"

Time to wake up.
Goldman Sachs has nothing to do with MMEX RESOURCES CORPORATION. Neither should any clear thinking retail investor. There's something about a company with $82 in Assets and $2 million in Liabilities having a "Plan to Build $450 Million Refinery in Permian Basin" that sounds a little fishy.

Wikipedia? Really?

You do realize, don't you, that anyone can create/edit entries there? While it has its good points, it is not as reliable of a source as everyone believes.

EDIT: Scroll down on that page and you can see that the last edit was about a month ago.

Also, if you actually read the article, you will see that all versions of that division have been closed. The last being 'GS Capital Partners VI' which was closed on April 23, 2007.

Sorry....
