Why would a company like Pfizer, that made $52B in profits last year, want to go off of some random database? Here are your two choices in databases:

2. Laboratory controlled environment, no cross-contamination.
It would likely be cheaper for a Big Pharma company to continue work on its own database, something that's a known commodity rather than relying on random samples.
