Technically there should be less risk involved. You control a large amount of shares at a fraction of the cost. Them if you are in the money you can exercise the option to buy at a lower cost and the hold or sell the shares.

Until the stock pops hard
Options are cheap..
doesn't mean you won't lose
Just means relative to upside
Premium is low..
