The Peruvian Connection

LOL

Post a copy of this contract. I'm sure we'd love to see it. Maybe there's a way for Dr. Sam to get out of it, for example, misrepresentation. Did Nathan mention his felony conviction to Dr. Sam before Dr. Sam signed the contract?

Or perhaps there's been a breach of the contract. Has Dr. Sam received the remuneration he was promised in the contract?

Is there a jurisdiction clause in the contract? Was the contract written according to US or Peruvian law?

If Nathan uses this contract to justify his presence in Peru or his right to do business, does he just wave it in front of interested parties (Immigration officials? Potential business partners?) or does Dr. Sam have to sign on to Nathan's future dealings to validate them?

Perhaps you can post a link that verifies that this is how it works because, quite frankly, I haven't seen ANYTHING online in the searches that I've done that suggest this is true. This is what I have found

Or you can apply for an investor visa (Visa de Inversionista). To obtain an investor visa in Peru you need the following:

US$25,000 share capital

A business plan to submit to DIGEMIN (Dirección General de Migración y Naturalización)

You must agree to hire five employees within two years

A 10-yr Contract with a Peruvian national. NOPE! STRIKE THAT. NOT ON THE LIST!

Got something better?

Nathan STILL needs a work visa regardless. Or he needs a special stamp on his passport good for only 180 days. To be more specific: Carnet Extranajeria otherwise he is ILLEGAL. Being as he has well-surpassed his legal stay and needs to fulfill the Interpol aspect of things, it's difficult to believe things would be very favorable for him.

Without this, Nathan cannot open a bank account in Peru, get a credit card in Peru, get a phone in Peru, etc. Thus why he lives in a crappy apartment with Georgie in a not-so-nice neighborhood. He can't get a place in his name nor is his phone in his name. He relies on his roomie and his Peruvian GF and others to help him with all of this.

Someone could easily burst Nate's bubble by turning him into Digemen Peru

(Or perhaps that's already a ball that has started rolling...)
