Chowder

As often happens, I find myself occurpying a middle ground. You may be right that massive adoption may still be a year away. I've argued with Awk that his numbers are too optimistic as regards the early adoption timeline...even of trusted drives.

At the same time, I believe that machines with trusted drives are being ordered and planned for NOW. I believe that the trials will not take a year and planning will be under way to roll out the Dells and implement them into a growing secure network -- thousands a month as each company moves from testing to implementing.

I could still be too optimistic here, but I'll remind you that in the military -- we watched the "meaningless" West Point trial a couple of years ago. Things have not exactly stook still. They do move slowly, but they do move in both military and commercial environments.

The fact that this is out on the web shows that people are thinking and learning about OUR technology and PROVES just how badly we need to think through our policies about what is best shared (so it can be developed and improved) and what should be kept secret (lest we help and stimulate our enemies) and there will NEVER be easy answers to that philosphic question.

TTT, but Things are already in progress and the revenue stream has already built from $6,000 a quarter. Hockey sticks don't become vertical overnight when the dots are always three months apart and reported 4-5 months after the financial events occur.

Chowder, I don't see how you can infer it will take an enterprise up to one year to assess a pilot program before committing to a full implementation. It could take a year or more from the start of a pilot and a subsequent committment to full implementation until their network is fully implemented, because they will implement in stages over a period of quarters, but I don't see them taking a year to decide to do more than a pilot.
