siriuslyricher...that is exactly what I have been thinking. If AMEX was made to feel culpable on the basis of the class action lawyers' briefs, and we know the lawyers based their briefs on the Fool articles (per Nilrem's visit to their office), then they may be feeling like they've stepped in doo doo for not doing their own DD now that the AP article is out. Maybe they got po'd when GTE would not provide information that would refute the lawers scam charges and then got scared when they heard about an article coming up by AP. Anywho, the AP article pops a lot of balloons, and they're not GTE's.
