I buy silver 'rounds', again because they have the lowest markup, pure silver 1-oz. bullion, but buying bags of junk silver coins, IMO, is also a good way to invest in silver if you trust your dealer. Trouble with silver is it's so bulky to store compared to gold or platinum. Have to bring along a jock when I buy just to carry the stuff home for me, LOL.
