Apple has yet to sign an extension to the master agreement to my knowledge they usually renew in June!? That being said in our 2Q CC stiepp was asked why Apple didn't renew and he acknowledged it and mentioned if they do that he will let us know...I'm an optimist so my take is that something big is in the works for lqmt and Apple with iPhone 8...also li's cash injection doesn't hurt...that being said Apple could have dumped the 500mil into R&D for lm and decided to scrap the whole thing for some unknown reason(pessimistic view: it began to interfere with stiepps personal life or stiepp and cook had it out on the court shooting hoops) I dunno something like that:/ numbers we need to see the numbers and then we will truly know if we sink or swim!?
Steipp said at the previous conference call that the partnership had not be renewed. I believe that is because Li was coming on board and the MTA agreement has to be rewritten to include Li. Li is not willing to give up the farm so I think he told Steipp to not renew because he thought that he could make Apple come to the table with a sweeter deal for Eontech. I still don't see revenues coming lqmt's way from Apple but Eontech partnership with lqmt ( unofficial) gives Li the upper hand as a preferred manufacturer of BMG. Now with access to CIPs patents with Apples consent could make Li very rich on the manufacturing front thus providing lqmt with the ability to attract business using Apple as the premier customer.
